Moonlit Meals of Compassion: Purnima Annadaan Seva for Elderly Widowed Mothers
On the sacred occasion of Purnima, when the full moon spreads peace, purity, and divine brightness across the sky, Joyful Global Foundation brings forward a heartfelt campaign dedicated to serving elderly widowed mothers through Old Widow Annadaan Seva. Purnima is considered a highly auspicious day for charity, prayers, and acts of kindness. It is believed that donations made on this holy day bring blessings, inner peace, and spiritual merit. Through this campaign, we aim to transform devotion into action by offering nourishing meals to old widowed women who are often left alone, forgotten, and struggling for daily food.
A Sacred Day to Feed Those Who Wait in Silence
Many elderly widowed mothers live without family support, regular income, or emotional care. Their lives are filled with silence, memories, and daily uncertainty. For them, even one proper meal can bring comfort, dignity, and hope. On Purnima, when devotees offer prayers and seek divine blessings, feeding these helpless mothers becomes a deeply meaningful form of seva. Annadaan is not just the donation of food; it is the offering of respect, compassion, and humanity.
Joyful Global Foundation believes that no mother should sleep hungry, especially in the later years of life when she deserves care, warmth, and support. These widowed mothers may not ask for help loudly, but their tired eyes and folded hands speak of their needs. Through this Purnima Annadaan Seva, your contribution can become a plate of hot food, a moment of relief, and a reason for them to smile.
Why Annadaan on Purnima Holds Special Importance
Purnima is associated with purity, positivity, and spiritual growth. Devotees observe fasts, perform puja, and engage in charitable deeds to receive divine grace. Among all forms of donation, Annadaan holds a special place because food is the most basic need of every living being. When we feed someone hungry, we do not only satisfy their hunger; we also serve the divine presence within them.
Donating food to elderly widowed mothers on Purnima is a beautiful way to honor motherhood, age, and human dignity. Many of these mothers have spent their entire lives caring for families, raising children, and giving love. Today, when they need support, our small act of kindness can remind them that they are not alone. Your donation becomes more than charity; it becomes a blessing-filled seva.
Joyful Global Foundation’s Mission of Compassion
Through this campaign, Joyful Global Foundation is committed to arranging nutritious meals for elderly widowed women with love and dignity. The focus is not only on feeding them but also on making them feel valued and respected. Every meal served carries the emotion of care, the strength of community support, and the blessings of those who receive it.
Your support can help provide fresh food, essential nourishment, and a peaceful moment to mothers who often survive with very little. Whether your donation is big or small, it has the power to bring comfort to someone’s life. On this holy Purnima, you can become the reason an elderly mother receives food with dignity and prayer in her heart.
Be the Light in Their Lonely Evening
The full moon of Purnima reminds us to spread light where there is darkness. For many old widowed mothers, loneliness and hunger have become daily companions. But your kindness can change that. A simple meal offered with compassion can fill not only an empty stomach but also a heart that has been waiting for care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Joyful Donation, conducted by Satvikdaan Charitable Trust Foundation, was founded in 2023 after a heartbreaking loss—a close friend who couldn’t afford cancer treatment. That personal tragedy became our purpose. A group of social workers with 7+ years of ground-level seva united to ensure no one is lost to neglect, hunger, or helplessness. What began with small acts has grown into a movement of compassion.
We work where the need is—slums, schools, and vulnerable neighbourhoods. Support ranges from food packets and ration kits to school supplies and vocational tools. We start with whatever we have, mobilise caring people, and deliver practical help that restores dignity and hope.
Every donation is personal to us. Funds are directed to real, time-bound needs—nutrition, basic medical help, education materials, and livelihood support like vocational tools. We aim to share simple impact updates and stories so you can see how your kindness becomes relief on the ground.
You can donate to an active campaign, volunteer your time/skills, sponsor kits (meals, education, hygiene), or start a peer-to-peer fundraiser. If you’d like to collaborate as an individual, group, or organisation, just reach out—this is a people-powered effort.
A receipt is issued for every donation. If a campaign is eligible for tax benefits, it will be clearly mentioned on the campaign page and in the receipt details. For any documentation you need, please contact us and we’ll assist you.
