Ekadashi Blessings: Feed Elderly Widow Mothers with Compassion

Ekadashi is considered one of the most sacred days in Sanatan Dharma, a day dedicated to devotion, self-purification, fasting, charity, and remembrance of Lord Vishnu. On this holy occasion, Joyful Global Foundation brings forward a heartfelt campaign, Old Widow Annadaan Seva on Ekadashi, to serve elderly widow mothers who live with loneliness, struggle, and uncertainty. For many of these mothers, a simple meal is not just food; it is a symbol of care, dignity, and hope.

In the later years of life, when a person needs support, affection, and comfort the most, many elderly widows are left without family care or financial stability. Some spend their days waiting for kindness, while others silently endure hunger and emotional pain. Through this Ekadashi Annadaan Seva, Joyful Global Foundation aims to provide nutritious meals to such mothers and remind them that they are not forgotten by society.

The Spiritual Importance of Annadaan on Ekadashi

Ekadashi is known as a powerful day for spiritual growth and punya. Devotees observe fasting, chant the name of Lord Vishnu, perform prayers, and engage in acts of charity. Among all forms of donation, Annadaan, the donation of food, holds a very special place because it directly satisfies hunger and brings immediate relief to someone in need. Feeding elderly widow mothers on Ekadashi becomes an act of devotion filled with compassion and humanity.

When we offer food to someone who is hungry, we do more than fill their stomach. We share warmth, respect, and emotional support. On a sacred day like Ekadashi, this act becomes even more meaningful, as it combines bhakti with seva. Joyful Global Foundation believes that true worship is not limited to temples and prayers; it is also reflected in how we care for the helpless, the elderly, and the forgotten.

Serving Mothers Who Deserve Love and Dignity

Elderly widow mothers have lived lives full of sacrifice. Many have cared for families, raised children, and given their strength to others. Yet today, some of them face neglect, poverty, and loneliness. Their eyes carry stories of pain, but also a quiet hope that someone will come forward with kindness. This campaign is a humble effort to stand beside them and offer a plate of food with respect.

Through this initiative, nutritious and wholesome meals will be served to old widow mothers on Ekadashi. Every meal will carry the emotion of seva and the blessings of a mother’s heart. Your contribution can bring comfort to someone who may have been waiting for a kind gesture for a long time.

How Your Support Creates an Impact

A small donation from your side can become a full meal for an elderly mother. It can bring a smile to her face, peace to her heart, and strength to her body. Joyful Global Foundation ensures that every act of giving reaches those who truly need support. This Ekadashi, your kindness can become a source of nourishment and hope.

By participating in this Annadaan Seva, you are not only donating food, but also becoming a part of a sacred mission. You are helping preserve the values of compassion, respect for elders, and selfless service. Such acts of kindness create positive energy, spiritual satisfaction, and blessings that stay with the giver.

Frequently Asked Questions

Joyful Donation, conducted by Satvikdaan Charitable Trust Foundation, was founded in 2023 after a heartbreaking loss—a close friend who couldn’t afford cancer treatment. That personal tragedy became our purpose. A group of social workers with 7+ years of ground-level seva united to ensure no one is lost to neglect, hunger, or helplessness. What began with small acts has grown into a movement of compassion.

We work where the need is—slums, schools, and vulnerable neighbourhoods. Support ranges from food packets and ration kits to school supplies and vocational tools. We start with whatever we have, mobilise caring people, and deliver practical help that restores dignity and hope.

Every donation is personal to us. Funds are directed to real, time-bound needs—nutrition, basic medical help, education materials, and livelihood support like vocational tools. We aim to share simple impact updates and stories so you can see how your kindness becomes relief on the ground.

You can donate to an active campaign, volunteer your time/skills, sponsor kits (meals, education, hygiene), or start a peer-to-peer fundraiser. If you’d like to collaborate as an individual, group, or organisation, just reach out—this is a people-powered effort.

A receipt is issued for every donation. If a campaign is eligible for tax benefits, it will be clearly mentioned on the campaign page and in the receipt details. For any documentation you need, please contact us and we’ll assist you.
