Ganga Dussehra: Feeding Mothers with Dignity

Blessings of Ganga: Annadaan Seva for Elderly Widow Mothers
Ganga Dussehra is a sacred occasion that reminds us of purity, compassion, and the power of selfless giving. It is believed that on this divine day, Maa Ganga descended to Earth to bless humanity, wash away sufferings, and bring hope into countless lives. On such a holy day, offering food to those in need is not just an act of kindness—it becomes a beautiful form of seva filled with devotion and humanity.
Joyful Global Foundation brings forward a heartfelt campaign dedicated to Old Widow Lady Annadaan Seva on Ganga Dussehra. This initiative is created to serve elderly widow mothers who often live with loneliness, struggle, and limited support. Many of these mothers have spent their lives caring for families, giving love, blessings, and strength to others. Today, in their old age, they need care, respect, nourishment, and emotional support.
Why Annadaan on Ganga Dussehra is Special
In Sanatan Dharma, Annadaan is considered one of the highest forms of donation because food gives life, strength, and peace. Feeding a hungry person is seen as feeding humanity itself. On the sacred day of Ganga Dussehra, the value of charity and seva becomes even more meaningful, as this day is associated with purification, blessings, and spiritual merit.
When we offer food to elderly widow mothers on this holy occasion, we are not only filling their plates but also touching their hearts with dignity and love. A simple meal can become a message that says, “You are not forgotten. You are respected. You are cared for.”
A Meal That Carries Love and Respect
Many elderly widow ladies live silently with pain, financial difficulty, and emotional emptiness. Some may not have anyone to ask whether they have eaten. Some wait for a kind hand, a warm meal, or a few words of care. Through this campaign, Joyful Global Foundation aims to provide nutritious meals with compassion, ensuring that these mothers receive not just food, but also respect and warmth.
Annadaan Seva is more than distributing meals. It is about bringing a smile to faces that have seen years of hardship. It is about serving mothers who deserve comfort in their old age. It is about transforming a sacred festival into a day of real impact.
Joyful Global Foundation’s Humble Mission
Joyful Global Foundation believes that true celebration begins when we share our blessings with those who need them the most. On Ganga Dussehra, this campaign invites kind-hearted donors to become a part of a meaningful seva by supporting meals for elderly widow mothers. Every contribution helps provide food, care, and a sense of belonging to those who are often left behind by society.
Your donation can help serve fresh and wholesome meals to old widow ladies who look forward to support and compassion. Even a small act of giving can bring relief to someone’s day and blessings to your life.
Turn Devotion into Compassion
On this Ganga Dussehra, let us remember that devotion is not limited to prayers alone. True devotion is also seen in feeding the hungry, supporting the helpless, and caring for the elderly. When we serve old widow mothers with love, we honor the values of compassion, gratitude, and dharma.
Let this sacred day become a reason to spread kindness. Let your Annadaan become a source of strength for elderly mothers. Let your contribution bring food, dignity, and blessings together.

Frequently Asked Questions
Joyful Donation, conducted by Satvikdaan Charitable Trust Foundation, was founded in 2023 after a heartbreaking loss—a close friend who couldn’t afford cancer treatment. That personal tragedy became our purpose. A group of social workers with 7+ years of ground-level seva united to ensure no one is lost to neglect, hunger, or helplessness. What began with small acts has grown into a movement of compassion.
We work where the need is—slums, schools, and vulnerable neighbourhoods. Support ranges from food packets and ration kits to school supplies and vocational tools. We start with whatever we have, mobilise caring people, and deliver practical help that restores dignity and hope.
Every donation is personal to us. Funds are directed to real, time-bound needs—nutrition, basic medical help, education materials, and livelihood support like vocational tools. We aim to share simple impact updates and stories so you can see how your kindness becomes relief on the ground.
You can donate to an active campaign, volunteer your time/skills, sponsor kits (meals, education, hygiene), or start a peer-to-peer fundraiser. If you’d like to collaborate as an individual, group, or organisation, just reach out—this is a people-powered effort.
A receipt is issued for every donation. If a campaign is eligible for tax benefits, it will be clearly mentioned on the campaign page and in the receipt details. For any documentation you need, please contact us and we’ll assist you.
