Moonlit Mercy for Vanars: A Buddha Purnima Seva by Joyful Foundation
Buddha Purnima is a sacred day that reminds humanity of compassion, kindness, peace, and selfless service. It is the day associated with the birth, enlightenment, and Mahaparinirvana of Lord Buddha, whose teachings continue to inspire millions to protect every living being with love. On this pious occasion, Joyful Foundation brings forward a heartfelt initiative — Vanar Seva and Treatment for Vanars — to serve hungry, injured, weak, and neglected monkeys who struggle silently on streets, near temples, forests, and public spaces.
Many vanars depend on human kindness for food, water, and care. Some are left injured after accidents, fights, electric shocks, infections, or lack of proper treatment. Others wander in extreme heat and difficult conditions, searching for a small piece of food or a safe place to rest. Their pain often goes unnoticed because they cannot ask for help in words. Through this campaign, Joyful Foundation aims to become their voice and bring timely support to those innocent lives.
A Sacred Day to Serve the Speechless
Lord Buddha’s message teaches us that compassion is not limited to human beings alone. True kindness includes every creature that breathes, feels hunger, experiences pain, and seeks safety. On Buddha Purnima, offering food, medical support, and care to vanars becomes a beautiful act of daya, karuna, and seva. It is a way to honor the spirit of this holy day by turning devotion into action.
Joyful Foundation’s Buddha Purnima Vanar Seva campaign focuses on providing nutritious food, clean water, basic medical care, rescue assistance, and treatment support for vanars in need. Whether it is a hungry vanar searching for food, an injured one needing urgent care, or a weak animal struggling to survive, your contribution can help bring relief at the right time.
Why Your Support Matters
Every act of seva can make a real difference. A simple meal can calm hunger. A bowl of water can save a life in the heat. Timely treatment can prevent suffering from becoming worse. Rescue and care can give an injured vanar a chance to recover with dignity. Your donation supports these essential efforts and helps Joyful Foundation continue its mission of serving vulnerable animals with dedication and compassion.
This campaign is not only about feeding or treating animals; it is about creating a kinder world where no living being is ignored. Vanars live close to human settlements, yet they often face hunger, fear, and injury without any support. On Buddha Purnima, your small step can become a powerful expression of humanity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Joyful Donation, conducted by Satvikdaan Charitable Trust Foundation, was founded in 2023 after a heartbreaking loss—a close friend who couldn’t afford cancer treatment. That personal tragedy became our purpose. A group of social workers with 7+ years of ground-level seva united to ensure no one is lost to neglect, hunger, or helplessness. What began with small acts has grown into a movement of compassion.
We work where the need is—slums, schools, and vulnerable neighbourhoods. Support ranges from food packets and ration kits to school supplies and vocational tools. We start with whatever we have, mobilise caring people, and deliver practical help that restores dignity and hope.
Every donation is personal to us. Funds are directed to real, time-bound needs—nutrition, basic medical help, education materials, and livelihood support like vocational tools. We aim to share simple impact updates and stories so you can see how your kindness becomes relief on the ground.
You can donate to an active campaign, volunteer your time/skills, sponsor kits (meals, education, hygiene), or start a peer-to-peer fundraiser. If you’d like to collaborate as an individual, group, or organisation, just reach out—this is a people-powered effort.
A receipt is issued for every donation. If a campaign is eligible for tax benefits, it will be clearly mentioned on the campaign page and in the receipt details. For any documentation you need, please contact us and we’ll assist you.
